[Session#12 Y4G 1st Anniversary Talk Seesion]
Date: Oct 26, 2023
One year has passed since the kick-off last October. This session was born from the inspiration of participating in the First Meeting of the States Parties to the TPNW, and has been held a total of 13 times with the hope of creating opportunities to learn about hibakusha around the world together with the younger generation in Japan.
In this one-year review, we will look back on the past sessions through relay talks and video messages with the speakers of the past sessions, and at the same time, share our thoughts and expectations for the 2nd Meeting of the Parties to the Treaty, which is scheduled to be held next month.
Those who will participate in the relay talk are,
Mr. Yasuhito Sasajima (4th speaker), who is based in Kochi and has reported on the issue of crew members of ships affected by nuclear tests in the Pacific Ocean,
Norio Kimura (6th speaker), who was affected by the disaster in Fukushima and is involved in activities such as passing on the knowledge of the disaster in the town of Okuma,
Miho Tanaka, co-chair of Kakuwaka Hiroshima, who organized a project with us in August,
Hirofumi Hayashi of Futaba Mirai Gakuen High School, who discussed the session in his class.
